2025年8月24〜28日の5日間、32ND INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON THE CHEMISTRY OF NATURAL PRODUCTS AND 12TH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON BIODIVERSITY (ISCNP32 & ICOB12)がオーストラリアのSydneyにあるUniversity of New South Wales (UNSW)にて開催されました（大会HP https://iupac.org/event/iscnp32-icob12/）。
世界中の天然物化学の研究者が集まり、天然物研究の最新動向について議論する国際学会です。天然物に関して、分離と構造決定、全合成および合成方法論、生合成、合成生物学、化学生態学、生理活性および薬理化学など、幅広い研究テーマで発表が行われました。当研究室から、濱野先生が口頭発表、D3の兼田くんがポスター発表を行いました。

また、8月29日には、University of Sydneyで1st JAPANESE-AUSTRALASIAN SYMPOSIUM ON THE BIOSYNTHESIS OF NATURAL PRODUCTSが開催されました。当研究室から丸山先生が参加し、口頭発表を行い、オーストラリアの研究者と交流を深めました。

The 32ND INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON THE CHEMISTRY OF NATURAL PRODUCTS AND 12TH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON BIODIVERSITY (ISCNP32 & ICOB12) were held over five days from August 24 to 28, 2025, at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia.（HP https://www.universiteitleiden.nl/isba2025).

This international conference brings together natural products chemists worldwide to discuss the latest trends in natural products research. Presentations covered various topics related to natural products, including isolation and structural determination, total synthesis and synthetic methodology, biosynthesis, synthetic biology, chemical ecology, bioactivity, and medicinal chemistry. From our laboratory, Prof. Hamano gave an oral presentation, and Mr. Kaneda (PhD. student) presented a poster.

Additionally, on August 29, the 1st Japanese-Australasian Symposium on the Biosynthesis of Natural Products was held at the University of Sydney. Dr. Maruyama from our laboratory participated, gave an oral presentation, and deepened exchanges with Australian researchers.
